Can’t see anything happening? Feeling like giving up?
Luke 18:1 says, “And he told them a parable to the effect that we ought always to pray and not lose heart.” Why? Because Jesus knows us. We expect answers to be instant and visible. But he urges us—don’t lose heart, keep praying. Far more is happening than we can see or sense.
Earlier this month, I joined nearly a thousand others at the Royal Agricultural Showground in Wales for ‘A Day for Wales,’ an event led by the new movement 100.cymru. The theme? Revival! The gathering was filled with young people, passionate worship, and a powerful sense of God’s presence. There was fire in their hearts and fire on their lips. Their vision is bold: to plant 100 new churches across Wales in the next ten years.
One of the most moving moments was when a long row of couples, some carrying babies, stood at the front. They have already moved to towns and villages with no gospel witness to plant new churches. Seeing them stand in faith was both thrilling and deeply moving.
Almost 25 years ago, some friends asked me to write a simple prayer framework for revival. You may have come across it—the Caleb Prayer for Wales. It became a foundation for thousands of people and spread to many nations and languages.
One key line in that prayer was: “Send the Holy Spirit for the sake of the children.” For years, we prayed. And for years, we saw no visible response in Wales.
Then, at this gathering, the answer stood before us. Those very children we had been praying for every day had grown up. They are now the ones pioneering with 100.cymru.
A hidden, 25-year-long answer from God.
Even when we saw nothing, God had heard. He had been raising up a generation all along.
If you’ve been waiting for an answer to your prayers and feel like giving up, Jesus says: “Don’t lose heart. Keep praying.” There is more happening than you can perceive.
Pray on!
Dear friends, I invite you to pray for a fresh anointing upon the 100.cymru movement and for the nation of Wales. May the long-awaited revival ignite in Wales, spreading across nations, setting the Church ablaze, and bringing glory to Jesus. Let Wales once again rise as a House of Prayer—an apostolic nation carrying the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
