Coronavirus; Today’s Christian response

From Roy and Daphne Godwin
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” Psalm 56:3
How quickly the world has changed. And it’s going to get worse before it gets better. We may feel frustrated by being confined to our homes; it isn’t easy, but it’s as nothing compared to the pain of those who are seriously ill or dying.
Many people are afraid of the virus and understandably so. I, like many of you, am in a high-risk category and I understand why we might feel afraid. Yet however reasonable fear seems to appear, we can still bring that fear to the feet of the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, submit it to Him, and ask for a baptism of peace and joy in its place. In quiet confidence is our strength.
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” Psalm 56:3
As followers of Jesus we need to act clearly as a Christian model for others. That involves our character: behaving as we should. Our service: volunteering help to the NHS or our elderly neighbor. Our spiritual life: being prayerful, watchful, speaking blessings over our family, community etc.
How should we utilize and profit from the unexpected time we have? It’s as though someone has pressed the pause button, to be followed by a reset. How do young families cope with being at home together for a long period? How will relationships survive? What about those who were lonely even before the Covid-19 crisis? When we pray, how should we pray? If this is an opportunity to deepen our connection with the Lord, how should we go about doing it?
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” Psalm 56:3
Over the coming days and weeks, we will be releasing some resources from ourselves and from others that we believe may be helpful for our lives in the current situation. We will let you know when we do so.
With our love and blessings,
Roy and Daphne
A New Season

When Daphne and I clearly sensed a year ago that we were moving into a new season, a closing of a chapter and the start of a new one, little did we know what it meant for us. Unexpected, to say the least.
We are no longer at Ffald y Brenin, after 20 amazing years, but now we have time to write, film, and publish new resources for today’s world. Strengthen the brethren. All at a pace which is more sustainable for us.
We are blessed to be walking right now in fellowship with national and international leaders and national leadership teams. As more develops we will post updated news.
May the Lord our God grant you protection, grace, mercy, help, and blessing. Be of good courage. The Lord is near.
Surprisingly Prophetic

How has your start to 2020 seemed? Anything surprising or unexpected?
Little did we guess what would so quickly transpire for us when we wrote the Christmas Greeting below. It was prophetic to an amazingly personal degree. We will be explaining what that means very soon so please come back to catch up on the news…
